At 6:00 am this morning, the Cold Spring Fire Company (CSFC) was called to a fire on Kemble Avenue in Cold Spring. Upon arrival, Chief Phillips and Assistant Chief Steltz reported heavy smoke and fire and observed that the structure's roof had collapsed, and all occupants were outside the building. CSFC Engine 13-2-2 arrived shortly after the Chiefs and began an external attack, successfully extinguishing the fire. Multiple departments provided mutual aid, with additional personnel and water supply. We want to thank Philipstown Ambulance and the North Highlands, Garrison, Fishkill, and Putnam Valley Fire Departments for their quick response and assistance. The Beacon Fire Department also provided temporary coverage for Cold Spring, while Rombout Fire relocated to North Highlands for coverage. All units were back in service by 8:00 am.
