| Over the holiday weekend, the team responded to two major calls—one for a Sick Person requiring ALS (Advanced Life Support) and another involving Traumatic Injuries requiring ALS. Both rescues were successful and serve as an important reminder to our community and visitors who enjoy our spectacular access to hiking and the great outdoors: always be prepared when setting out on a hike.
While we hope you never need us, you can be assured that if the unfortunate does occur while you are out on our trails, the Cold Spring Fire Company will be there to help, working alongside our mutual aid partners at the Philipstown Ambulance Corps, North Highlands Fire Department, and NY State Park Staff. |
