Vehicle Blaze on Route 301

COLD SPRING, February 7, 2024 - Cold Spring Fire Co. No. 1 was dispatched at 11:06 am for a reported vehicle fire on Route 301 near Canopus Lake, prompting an immediate and coordinated response from local fire departments. Responding agencies were Cold Spring Fire Co., North Highlands Engine Co., Kent Volunteer Fire Dept., and Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Dept. Upon arrival, Cold Spring and North Highlands Chief Officers verified that all occupants had safely evacuated the vehicle. Fire crews fully extinguished the blaze and were back in service by 11:58 am.
